Sunday April 20th Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Egg Hunt with the Cuddly Castle Bunnie search the castle to find

the answer to clues and win your chocolate egg, the bunnies will help if you’re stuck.

Monday 5th May May-Day Games Day

Play old traditional games, tin can alley, hook-a-duck, ping-pong-dong or hula hoops. A brand new exciting game this year will be the castles very own version of Pooh Sticks but instead of sticks we use balls, instead of water we use hills, there may even be prizes

Thursday 8th May VE Day Lighting of the Castle Beacon.

Thursday 8th May VE Day Lighting of the Castle Beacon.

The Castle Beacon and Lamp of Peace will be lit at 9.30pm in honour of VE Day, music of the era will be the order of the evening with traditional live music of the time and surprise special guest to light the beacon.

Join our army of teddy bears and our friendly walking talking castle bears, with the chance of naming the bears for the season, there’ll be a bear hunt, singing and bring your own picnic, blankets and teddies supplied.

A day in search of fairies, put on your best fairy outfit, find your way through the secret castle, sneak past the naughty elves and search the

enchanted forest for our lost fairies, suitable for all ages, our charming fairies or silly elves will lead the children (with parents or guardians) on the 30minute twinkling trail.

Visit the Castle for free. Lots of Castle related happenings. Swansea metal detectorist displays and local finds, bring in your found object to be identified, Medieval food display, Craft a medieval icon, weaving and fashion of the times, games, stories and dragons !

The Spooky Castle, just for kids, a different slant on Halloween where it becomes fun not scary, where we laugh not cry, where we with the magic wand are in control of the naughty witches and smelly goblins, each child is given a magic wand to frighten off anything they don’t like. We have our wicked witch telling stories, the silly warriors and Dave the Dragon with his naughty alter-ego Deffor Dragon, plus much, much, more, but nothing that will make you jump unless your turned into a frog !

 The Dark Side of Oystermouth Castle Halloween Special, a totally

unique experience, you’re in the castle with a few others, it’s dark, it’s quiet (except for the odd scream) and your guide is telling you the chilling, sometimes brutal, occasionally worrying true tales of the black history of Oystermouth Castle…need you know more !
